EQUIPMENT RENTALS

MWR rents a variety of camping supplies, sports equipment, and party supplies for daily and weekend* use. 
Visit MWR Com Rec in BLDG 239 to make payment and confirm your reservation for equipment rentals.
 
 
 
 
 
*For weekend rentals, pick up items on Friday and return them the following Monday.

PICNIC PAVILION RENTALS

NSA Bethesda has three picnic pavilions available to rent.  All three are located at the MWR Sports Complex off Perimeter Road near USUHS and Gate 5.  Parking is limited to the parking lots running along the recreation area. ADA parking and water fountains are available near each pavilion.

  1. Please call MWR at 301-400-1783 to make sure your requested rental date is available. 
  2. If date is available, fill out PAVILION RESERVATION FORM.
  3. EMAIL your completed form.
  4. Make your payment to MWR in Building 239 to confirm your reservation.  

Pavilion Reservations include the shared use of other recreational spaces such as horseshoe pits, outdoor basketball court, sand volleyball court, wooded walking paths and the playground. Please note: Additional reservations are required for the Turf Field and Softball Field through the MWR Fitness Center by calling 301-295-2450 or EMAIL

Pavilion 1 and Pavilion 2 

Pavilions may be rented together or individually.  Individually they can hold up to 150 people, have interior lighting and include a 7-foot-long built-in charcoal grill.  Pavilions 1 & 2 are located adjacent to the playground area, horseshoe pits, outdoor basketball court, sand volleyball court and ADA accessible bathrooms.

  • Daily Rental for Active Duty: $50 for one pavilion or $85 for both
  • Daily Rental for All Others: $75 for one pavilion or $135 for both

 

Pavilion 3

Pavilion 3 can hold up to 50 people and is located behind the softball field. It includes two built in 2-foot-long charcoal grills and has interior lighting.  It is adjacent to a small outdoor fitness circuit and ADA accessible bathrooms. It is approximately a 3-minute walk to the playground area, horseshoe pits, outdoor basketball court, and sand volleyball court.

  • Daily Rental for Active Duty: $25
  • Daily Rental for All Others: $37

 

TICKET OFFICE

Sporting event tickets are not available in Building 239 and must be purchased at the Main Ticket Office in Bldg. 2 Room 1448(hospital). Click here to view the Main Ticket Office page.

DIRECTIONS TO MWR RENTAL & TICKET OFFICE (Building 239)

Directions to NSA Bethesda Building 239, bottom of the Z parking lot, which is on the left side of the road, past the USO.  

  • From Gate: 1 – Take Palmer Rd. to Taylor Rd. and continue past the Bldg. 17, Bldg. 64 and the USO.  Continue through the next stop sign and make a left after the Parking Lot Z sign. Continue down the road to the 3 warehouses at the bottom of the hill. Bldg. 239 is the middle warehouse.
  • From Gate: 5 – Make a right on Perimeter Rd.  Follow that past the soccer field and playground. Make a left at Grounds Rd.  Make a right on the road before the gravel parking lot (Parking Lot Z). Follow the road down the hill and there are 3 warehouses at the bottom of the hill. Bldg. 239 is the middle warehouse.
  • From Gate: 3(NEX) -- Take Gunnel Rd. straight through the stop sign where it changes into E. Palmer Rd.  Take E. Palmer to the end and make a right on Taylor Rd. Continue on Taylor Rd. past the Bldg. 17, Bldg. 64 and the USO.  Continue through the next stop sign and make a left after the Parking Lot Z sign. Continue down the road to the 3 warehouses at the bottom of the hill. Bldg. 239 is the middle warehouse.
